On a summer day with a spectacular landscape and a square full of visitors from early on, Trevelin experienced an unforgettable event this Sunday: the First International Blues Festival. With the stellar performance of Claudette King, daughter of the legendary BB King, the evening was filled with great music in the Pueblo del Molino.
From 4 PM until past 10 PM, the festival brought together talented local and regional bands such as Halftime Blues from Comodoro Rivadavia, Pey Etura Band from Lago Puelo, Blow Wind Blues from General Roca, Good Fellas from Esquel, and Joaco y los Jueves from Buenos Aires. The event was organized by the well-known local figure Rudy Murúa, with the support of the Municipality of Trevelin.
Mayor Héctor Ingram congratulated the organizers and highlighted the importance of these events for the city, emphasizing that “they enhance our natural surroundings and the great stage that is Plaza Coronel Fontana.”

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Tourism, Juan Manuel Peralta, appreciated the joint effort with the private sector, acknowledging the support of the Chamber of Tourism Providers and the local Chamber of Commerce. “Having international-level events like this helps us continue positioning Trevelin in a tourist segment that seeks unique experiences,” he said.
The Secretary of Culture, Gustavo De Vera, highlighted the experience and expertise of Murúa and his team, praising the quality of the sound, the stage setup, and the coordination between the public and private sectors. “The enthusiasm of the audience and the festive atmosphere show us that Trevelin wants these kinds of events and has everything needed to make them happen,” he stated.
Without a doubt, this festival has left its mark and sets the stage for future editions that will continue filling this beautiful corner of Patagonia with music and joy.
